Esther and the Feast of Purim
Chapters 1-2 are the set up of personalities and the evil plan leading to “Yahshua” the salvation of the Jews.
Ahasuerus was motivated by the physical and established his reign by money.
Haman a sworn enemy of the Jews was about to come on the seen. Generations before King Saul showed unrighteous mercy to Haman’s ancestor, Agag killed by Samuel the prophet.
Mordecai Esther’s uncle, adopted father, was the son of his ancestor Shimei, who was spared by David’s example of righteous mercy.
Shimei was a Benjamite of the house of Saul and Mordecai was
the ancestor of Paul the apostle who was Saul of the house of Benjamin.

Chapters 3 Explains Haman’s hatred towards Mordecai because Mordecai was a Jew who would not bow down to Haman. So Haman Intent was to destroy all Jews through out the kingdom of Ahasuerus.

Chapter 4 Introduces Hatach who in fact is Daniel who is responsible for Esther, who relays messages between Mordecai and Esther. Esther 4: 13Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews.
Esther’s big moment was that she could have gone either way until Mordecai commanded to answer Esther. So Esther Fasted and Prayed for three days to be guided the right way to gain the kings favor.

Chapter 5 the third day Precept is a picture back to Exodus 19: 11, 16 also in the future with the resurrection of Christ the Third Day. Esther acting in the office of a priest to interceded for the Jews. Exodus 19: 22.
We, Israel, are interceding for the world in the office of a Priest.

Chapter 6 is the intervention of the Holy Spirit on Ahasuerus while at the same time Haman was building gallows to have the Jews hanged; this is the, Precept of Three and a Half Days
Exodus 14: 27And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
Matthew 27: 52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Matthew 28: 1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
Revelation 11:11And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

Chapter 7 on the Third and a Half Day Esther springs the trap.
Esther 7: And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
Haman was Hanged that day on the Gallows prepared for Mordecai.

Chapter 8:9 Yahshua “Gods Salvation” Was on 3:23; the decree for the Jews to defend themselves against their enemies.
Esther 8:16 The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.
Chapter 9:1Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king’s commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)
The Day of Rest was declared!
Esther 9: 20-22 And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far, 21To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly, 22As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
This then traditionally became the day of rest and peace from their enemies and gifts of food and money to the poor, that all may celebrate and rejoice in the hidden Yahuweh Who Saves; Yahshua.

Father let this feast day be a joy and a day of rest for us, as we celebrate our brothers victory, and Your Yahshua.
